About Us

I have been in the gift industry since 1985, working with Philip Agius Australia until 1995. In 1997 I started Fractured Flowers with $100 and the goal to manufacture the highest quality potpourri in Australia. I exceeded that goal becoming the 5th ranked for quality in the world from 2001. After almost 25 years I sold that business in 2019.

After almost 3 years away I am returning with my new ethical range of décor and homewares.

From the very beginning I have been aware of using ethically sourced and sustainable materials.

Even the shells I used to sell were collected from designated areas and under tight controls of levels taken and left to ensure the ongoing supply, not of shells, but of the food they provide for the locals and livestock. Those beautiful shells were a by-product of food supply.

Now, more than when I was first concerned about the environment, it is more important that goods you sell are ethically and sustainably sourced. I demand this, as do your customers.

The materials I am using are considered "rubbish", by-products. Coco twigs, coconut husks and shells, placuna and capiz, the discarded linings of molluscs, oyster shells themselves, vines, bamboo and more. These materials would normally end up in rubbish heaps, or be burnt off creating damaging smoke, after the "good" parts have been used. Like nose to tail cooking, I am using these by-products to create homewares that are natural and beautiful and using every part possible of plants and marine life.
And now with my Sea Glass range, we are helping clean the oceans and beaches around the Philippines by creating products that use discarded and / or broken glass bottles and jars. Creating a market for this "rubbish" provides paid work in provinces collecting, cleaning and tumbling the glass. Cleaning the beaches to make them safe to enjoy again, and creating economic benefits for the locals.

Helping others has always been very important to me, and your support of these products allows me to continue that work in the Philippines, creating jobs, businesses, flourishing villages, and education for the children of the workers.

We get beautiful products we can be proud to display.

They get cleaner beaches and environment, and a better economic outlook.

Win, win.
